The Palace of Culture and Science

This landmark is simply unmissable when visiting the capital! The Palace of Culture and Science boasts 44 floors, housing 4 theaters and the Museum of Technology, among other attractions. There's also an observation deck offering a panoramic view of the city. The Palace of Culture and Science is a true symbol of Warsaw, recognized around the world.

The Royal Łazienki Park

The Royal Łazienki Park is a wonderful place for a stroll. This charming palace and park complex, once owned by Stanisław August Poniatowski, the last King of Poland, enchants visitors with both its architecture and natural beauty. At the heart of the park lies the Palace on the Isle, which, along with its surrounding gardens and castle, creates a unique atmosphere of tranquility and elegance. As you walk along the paths, you can admire the lush greenery, neoclassical sculptures, and numerous historical monuments that offer a glimpse into the rich history of this place. Animal lovers will be delighted by the friendly squirrels, which will literally eat from your hand—so don’t forget to bring some nuts! The Royal Łazienki Park is a true oasis in the center of Warsaw, perfect for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Warsaw Uprising Museum

The Warsaw Uprising Museum offers a deeply moving portrayal of the dramatic events of 1944. With its extensive collection of artifacts, multimedia presentations, and meticulously reconstructed scenes from that time, visitors can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Warsaw Uprising and gain a deeper understanding of the heroism of its participants. Continuing this historical journey, it’s also worth visiting the Little Insurgent Monument in the Old Town. This poignant tribute to the young heroes who sacrificed their lives for freedom serves as a reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the youngest participants in the uprising. Both of these places, deeply rooted in Warsaw’s history, not only provide valuable lessons from the past but also pay homage to those who fought for Poland’s independence.

The Old Town and the Royal Castle

The Old Town in Warsaw, considered the heart of the capital, is the oldest and most picturesque part of the city, filled with colorful 17th- and 18th-century townhouses. Despite being heavily damaged during World War II, it was painstakingly rebuilt and, in 1980, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The central point is the bustling Market Square, home to the Mermaid Statue and surrounded by cafés and restaurants. On the edge of the Old Town stands the Royal Castle, also rebuilt after the war, which now dazzles visitors with its richly decorated interiors and valuable works of art, serving as a testament to Warsaw’s historical grandeur.

The Wilanów Palace

The Wilanów Palace is a gem of Baroque architecture and one of Poland’s most treasured landmarks. Built at the request of King Jan III Sobieski, it served as his summer residence. Surrounded by picturesque gardens, the palace captivates with its richly decorated interiors and numerous works of art. Its unique character and unchanged appearance over the centuries attract both history and art enthusiasts alike.
